If this ever posts, it’ll be a miracle. My internet…. well, my neighbor’s internet (shh)… has been in and out all day. These are the last pictures from the Nashville trip. Ya know, from back in November. Haha. Ughh. I just got them from Keiko. But I have all my China pictures to go through and put up, so I figured it’s better than nothing. There are so many things I need to get done and I just get overwhelmed and shut down. I have to make a huge effort to not let my lists and errands drown me. I read somewhere that you need to pick 5 things from a list and work on just those in one day. I was told the other day to just work on the two major ones. I wish it was that simple. I need to set up a work space in my room for working on the necklaces and headbands. I found a desk on Craigslist that I wanted. It needs paint and new knobs but the DIY wheels started rolling and my little heart got set on it. The woman said she has another potential buyer and that she’d let me know. So annoying. Just sell me the desk.
I’m going to attempt to pull myself away from the internet and get to Target. It’s just so hard with videos like this circulating. Pretty sure I’d react this way to several different animals. Holy awesome.
Enjoy!

Jessica and Keiko have been in town the past few days. Keiko is here for the People’s Choice Awards and Jessica just came to hang out a few days before our China trip. I still can’t believe we’re going. It will be about 20 degrees, give or take, in Beijing, but I’ve packed every last one of my sweaters. I think everyone else is more worried than we are. Almost every trip of ours has been in the winter. We’re seasoned veterans at this whole bundling up thing. Hopefully we won’t be mistaken for prostitutes this time… oh, Vienna.
I was really worried about going home this year for Christmas. I mean, I was extremely excited to see my parents and Otis, but not sure how I would handle the new living situation. My parents sold the house I had lived in since I was 12 and bought a condo in a neighboring town. I’m pretty sensitive and sentimental, so I was just waiting to see how I handled the change.
The second I walked through the door and saw Otis, it felt like I was home. A lot of the same pictures still hung on the walls. My world view that I must of drawn when I was 6 (Pony was a continent to give you an idea) as well as all my baby and graduation pictures. My dad’s records and Cd’s were all in their places on the bookshelves. My parents were both there with arms wide open, excited for me to be home.
My best friends and friends of the family all kept asking how I liked the new place. My answer was always the same: “I love it. It feels like home.”

I’ve been in such a mood today. I have no idea why. I think it’s my level of productiveness… which is at about a zero. But my laundry is in the dryer and the Christmas lights are up so that’s a start. Only took me the whole day to get here. Oh well. I did get news today that I’ll be working a special Hanson event this weekend at work and to celebrate, I listened to Snowed In earlier. SO good. Don’t judge!
The rest of my evening will consist of Papa John’s pizza with my roommate, making some gifts/bows, and just organizing my room. Well, it’ll hopefully consist of all of that. Who knows. Today might just be a wash.
Unrelated note: These pictures are from Nashville and I would like to be back there right about now. Please and thank you. Thank God for my Florida trip coming up. I need a dose of my parents and Otis.

I just came to say hello…
Sorry I’ve been MIA recently. I’ve been trying to pick up as many shifts as possible to cover my Christmas shopping, trip home for the holidays, and my China trip in January. So much going on! My mom told me that she hoped I don’t have my seasonal meltdown this year. Haha. I just really like holidays to be perfect with loved ones, decorations, and food… LOTS of food. Unfortunately, I sometimes get a bit stressed over what to buy for people and end up running around to stores last minute. I’ll be honest, there were some tears last year.
But things will be different this time around. For starters, I’m going to attempt to get all of my Christmas shopping done before I go home. That way, every second can be spent with my family, friends, and my beloved Otis.
These photos were taken after the Unique LA holiday market last weekend, where I was hunting for gifts. Alright, let’s be honest… I bought myself two things. But this weekend I’ll be going to the Melrose Flea and possible Renegade to try again. Let’s hope I’m more successful.

I love holidays and want them to be perfect and stress free. Unfortunately, things don’t always turn out how I’d like them to. Thanksgiving was one thing after another and I eventually just gave up and went to bed. Best decision. Just start over the next day.
I will say one thing though… I am beyond blessed and thankful for the people in my life. I have amazing parents and some incredible friends. I am constantly amazed by the amount of love and support that surrounds me and I don’t take any of it for granted.
On that note, I’m so happy that Keiko and I were able to take our Nashville trip (more photos on Claudia’s blog). I had the best time and everyone was so nice. Gotta love southern hospitality… and the biscuits. Can’t forget the biscuits… and fried green tomatoes… donuts… meat and threes… mac and cheese… Jeni’s ice cream…. the chicken sandwich at Silly Goose… dammit, now I’m hungry.
I leave for Nashville in the morning. Keiko and I will be meeting up and eating/shopping our way through the city. I’m stressing out about packing which is pretty normal for me. I have no idea what to bring. I just steamed a skirt and burnt the shit out of my fingers and arm in the process. Typical…
Oh and as you can see from this post, I seriously wasn’t kidding about the Beirut or the jeggings. Whatever makes you happy, right?
As much as I’d like to procrastinate more, I really need to pack and get ready for work. Just get me to Nashville already. Teleporting needs to be real.
