Can I call you sweetheart, or even babydoll?

A new friend’s covered up tattoo led to a discussion on MXPX and lots of memories flooding in. I have since had them on repeat this past week. I remember going to Warped Tour years ago and seeing them play. I had the biggest crush on the singer, Mike. Haha. My boyfriend at the time probably wasn’t too stoked on that but he made me MXPX patches to wear on my backpack and his studded vest anyway. Oh high school. By the way, if you listen to their song “Do Your Feet Hurt”, it goes “Can I leave you a message on your machine? Letting you know that you’re the bomb and you blew up on me.Hahaha so amazing.

I went to Warped Tour yesterday in Pomona to visit all my old friends from when I was on tour with the Truth campaign two summers ago. I don’t know as many of the bands anymore, but there’s something about being in a huge field with a bunch of other people that just want to hear some good music and be with friends. It’s one of the things I look forward to every year. I don’t remember when I started going but it’s definitely been a summer ritual for the past 10+ years. I’ll post a recap of yesterday in the next day or two. For now, it’s back to the guitar for me.
